The following are the results of this year’s Peann agus Pár Literary Competition held in Coláiste Oiriall after Halloween. The results were announced during Tionól Scoile (School Assembly) on Thursday. The adjudicators complimented the entrants in all sections, believing the standard to be very high.

Four sections of the competition were dedicated to English medium entries and a further four sections were devoted to Irish medium entries.

Thanks is extended to the English and Irish teachers who co-ordinated the competitions. The winners received their prizes at the Assembly. All other placed entrants will receive their certificates at the annual Prize Giving Ceremony in the Garage Theatre in May and the overall ‘Scríbhneoir na Bliana’ (Writer of the Year) will also be announced on that occasion. These literary competitions adhere to Coláiste Oiriall’s strategy to promote literacy in schools.
